Parkit explains: Pay P
Pay P is a digital alternative to paying for parking via a parking meter. Pay P can be used in parking areas without parking meters.
What is Pay P?
Betala P is Stockholm City's payment service for parking where you pay for parking on street and in most of Stockholm's parking garages, parking garages and surface parking lots.
How Pay P works
The Pay P app is downloaded via Google Play or the App Store. The user creates an account and adds their payment card, from which the parking payment is then deducted. The user can also choose to swipe for the payment.
The app also allows the user to:
- Starting and ending parking
- Extending ongoing parking
- Adding and removing up to vehicles
- Find information about service days
- Find parking for people with reduced mobility
- Find motorcycle parking
- Find charging points for electric vehicles
All the information contained in the app is also available on the city's website.
Pay P will be phased out 30/9 2024
The number of users of the Pay and Display service has been declining, and currently only about one third of on-street parkers in Stockholm use the service. This has led to a reduced demand for city-based parking payment services.
Pay P refers to other approved providers listed on the website.
