Parkit explains the Ducat
Since 1973, Dukaten has worked to make everyday life easier for residents and visitors in Linköping who use cars. They have been given total responsibility and implement the municipality's entire parking strategy based on the motto "We create flexible solutions for an accessible Linköping in constant motion".
What is the Ducat?
Dukaten's mission is to ensure that there is good parking in Linköping close to the places that visitors and residents want to visit, and that it should be easy to find information about available spaces. The focus is also on long-term sustainable mobility with increased digitalization and new, climate-smart solutions.
Parking surveillance and signage
It should be easy to park correctly, so Dukaten ensures that there are clear signs and directions around the parking areas. Dukaten also keeps track of wrongly parked cars so that emergency services and other motorists and pedestrians can get around.
Parking management
Dukaten manages and monitors 19500 parking spaces around Linköping. This includes parking garages, mobility hubs and street parking belonging to Linköping municipality and other municipal companies. Dukaten also manages spaces on behalf of private property owners.

Ensuring that parking lots are easily accessible and of good quality is a guiding principle in our work. For this reason, Dukaten takes care of everything from signage to technical installations. This includes, among other things:

Design and construction of car parks and hubs
Dukaten has overall responsibility for all parking in Linköping. As such, they constantly review the need for parking spaces. This includes planning and designing new parking facilities with a focus on accessibility, sustainability, environmentally friendly materials and fossil-free transportation.
Appen LinPark
The LinPark parking app allows visitors to manage their parking, from temporary parking to subscriptions. The app currently has about 90,000 users.
What other parking companies are there besides Dukaten in Linköping?
In Linköping, only Dukaten acts as they have been given overall responsibility for parking in the entire municipality, including private land and property assignments. However, visitors can use other parking apps for parking, such as Aimo Park and Parkster.
